Capital Maritime & Trading Corp. Chief Executive Officer Mr Evangelos M. Marinakis voted 'Greek Shipping Newsmaker of the Year' at the 2010 Lloyd's List Greek Shipping Awards

Athens, Greece, December 11, 2010. Mr Evangelos Marinakis, the Chief Executive Officer of Capital Maritime & Trading Corp. who is also Chairman of the Board of Directors of Capital Product Partners L.P., and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Crude Carriers Corp., was selected as "Greek Shipping Newsmaker of the Year" for 2010 at the annual Lloyd's List Greek Shipping Awards that took place in Athens on December 10, 2010.

Mr. Marinakis was commended for the established reputation of his group of companies, his outstanding leadership in the successful flotation of Crude Carriers Corp. in the NYSE and its fleet expansion, the navigation of Capital Product Partners L.P. in difficult market conditions, the deepening of relationships with major tanker charterers, his diversification into container shipping and his acquisition of Olympiacos Football Club, a matter of great interest to the wider Piraeus maritime community.
