Piraeus, Greece, April 15, 2024. The Capital Group Seafarers Forum 2024 unfolded on March 30-31 in Constanta, Romania for two days of insightful discussions and collaborative workshops, marking a significant gathering for our maritime community. This event brought together over 200 participants, including company executives, from Capital Ship Management Corp., Capital-Executive Ship Management Corp., Capital Gas Ship Management Corp., and distinguished guest speakers from across the industry.

Recognition and Celebration: The Gala Dinner was a memorable occasion, honoring long-serving officers and personnel who have significantly contributed to establishing best practices within our company. Commemorative plaques were presented as a token of appreciation for their dedication and hard work.
Engaging Discussions: Attendees received in-depth updates on our fleet's safety performance, engaging in vital conversations about safety, technical issues, and human factors. The aim was to deepen the dialogue between sea-based and shore-based teams, fostering a unified approach to overcoming challenges.
Interactive Workshops: A series of Safety Initiative workshops were a forum highlight, focusing on Causal Reasoning and the key principles of Human Performance. These sessions provided valuable opportunities for participants to share insights and experiences, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
Future-Focused Discussions: The forum also served as a platform for addressing key industry updates and requirements, such as the upcoming SIRE 2.0 and the latest in environmental and energy efficiency. Notably, Capt. Noonan from Fâiré Innovare shared invaluable insights on optimizing safety through the Human Element and the adoption of Competency-based Behaviour both at sea and ashore.
